To provide a home for senior pets. We provide love, affection, and shelter. Many of these dogs receive medical care, such as diagnostic screenings, dental care, surgery, and medications, as needed.

Our residents live in a house with multiple rooms. Many of them can go outside into fenced yards through doggie doors. Volunteers exercise and play with the dogs, as well as sit with the animals and give them love and attention.

We also offer a foster home program for select candidates. These dogs stay in pre-screened volunteer homes which are specifically chosen for the dog. The same level of care is offered to foster dogs, but they receive more individualized attention thanks to the foster providers.

Our residents come to the sanctuary several ways

The Sanctuary provides shelter to as many of these pets as possible depending on space and available funds. We may accept dogs from owners who have made financial arrangements with House With A Heart to provide care for their pets when the owner passes away or is no longer able to provide the care required for their older pet.

These arrangements are handled by Mindy Felinton (Attorney at Law).
